Next lens up from yesterdays comparison are the Aero Ektar 178/2.5. A real classic lens in the group of shallow depth of field lenses. Made in 1944 and slightly radioactive but still performs nice. Mine looks kind of beaten up, is it from a life in WWII? I don’t know but despite the sign of a hard life it performs well. I shot it wide open at 2.5 and then stopped down two stops for a shot at 5.6. 2 stops make a great difference and I finally got a smile from my son, I forgot the dark slide so with fast fingers I pulled the slide and got him still smiling:)
